Ohio to San Fransico Haight St.
This collection captures a neighborhood in transition. The declining Haight St. area became mecca for young people who wanted to be part of the Summer of Love phenomenon.
The rush of newcomers mixed with settled residents. At the same time, redevelopment in the Fillmore District pushed African American families into new neighborhoods, including the Haight.
The portfolio is named for the misspelled destination on Photo #1.
